About the Game
Baba Files Taxes is a small game I saw on Twitter. I wondered what the game was about. So I downloaded it and played it. The game is free to download.
Baba is from the puzzle game Baba is You. It is a fun but very hard and sometimes confusing puzzle game. I wrote a review of the mobile version of the game on my Android gaming blog. AndroidGamingFox.
Big surprise. But Baba files taxes is about filling out tax forms. I don’t know why I expected something different. The whole game seems like a joke about how annoying tax forms are. There is not much to say.
My Thoughts on Baba Files Taxes
I think it would have been cool if there were a few elements from Baba is You in this game. This game would function the same if you replaced Baba with any other character.
To be fair, Baba doesn’t have a personality. Baba is more of an avatar you sometimes control. Like the game name Baba is You suggests.
I did not think Baba Files Taxes was that fun. But maybe the game replicated the seemingly pointless and arbitrary experience of filing out taxes too well.
I suppose the slight twist at the end makes me think maybe I thought too much about the whole thing. Like how I do when filing taxes in real life!
Also, the game said I didn’t forge Baba’s signature well enough. The game gave me a bad score.
