A Different Run Every time
The Paradox is an Enter the Gungeon character that always has different items every time you play. This character is very similar to Eden in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. If that means nothing to you, I highly recommend playing The Binding of Isaac! It is my favorite rogue-lite/like game.
I feel this character is great for trying to see how many times you can win in a row. I do it myself, and it is a lot of fun.
In this guide, I will give the best advice I can on beating the game on a character like this. I will also explain how to unlock it. So this guide does have spoilers!
What the Paradox Stats With
To play this character, you need to spend five Hegemony Credits. These credits are received when beating bosses and doing a few other challenging things.
You start the game with a random starter gun, any other gun, and random items. You don’t always start with an active item, but you will have an item.
Note that the items you can get mean you start the game cursed right at the beginning.
My Advice for Playing the Paradox
Become familiar with playing the game. You are going to want a basic understanding of most of the guns and active items. Remember, every new run means new guns and a different active item.
When unsure, remember that you can pause and check the wiki. I often do this for synergies and to check what items I need to create them.
Also remember that to play this character, you need to spend five Hegemony Credits. So unless you are like me, who unlocked everything, this is a costly investment. Keep that in mind. You might want to unlock most items and then play this character later after saving up credits.
How to Unlock the Paradox
First, you need to beat the game and kill the past as one character. After that, when playing the game in the second, third, and fourth chambers, there are things you need to find.
You need to find cosmic rifts. Walk into them and interact with them. Then you need to beat the current character’s past, or the Lich in Bullet Hell.
